Charlotte glared at him, but took another drink of water. "I'm smarter than you at times." She said, rolling her eyes at him. She let out a sigh and closed her eyes, placing her hands behind her head.
"Just shut up Miles. Honestly."

"So you're a smart woman who does stupid things" he told her and got more comfortable in his spot. He decided to take her advice to shut up and drift off to sleep.
His eyelids fluttering closed at last before taking one long concerned look at Charlotte to see she was alright and letting his mind wander off into sleep.
The island filled his mind and he was at peace.

Charlotte yanwed and rolled over, pulling the pillow over her head as she did so. Her head throbbed painfully, and her whole body ached, and she wanted nothing more than to get a shower and crawl back into bed to spend the rest of the day. If she opened her eyes, she felt as though her head would explode.
Rolling over again in an attempt to get comfortable, she shrieked loudly and rolled off the side of the bed, falling to the floor with a loud 'thud' in a mess of tangled sheets. I hate mornings, especially ones that include hangovers she thought to herself bitterly.

The thud drew Miles out of his sleep. He rubbed his eyes and focused on Charlotte who had fallen out of bed. Miles chuckled softly. It was great seeing people at their worst. A lot could be said for someone when they had nothing left to be proud about.
"Nice" he said with a yawn and kicked the blankets off himself, but didn't get up to help her out. He laughed again.

"Ugh, don't talk so loud." She muttered, but then jerked up a second later, looking at Miles. Why was he in her room? Oh that's right... She remembered as it all came rushing back to her, along with several painful throbs. Wincing, she stumbled to her feet and grabbed the tylenol from the drawer, using her water from the night before to down several tablets. Rubbing her temple, she glanced at her reflection in the mirror.
"I look like hell...."

Miles laughed again. "Yeah, you do." Truthfully she looked sick, but she didn't look too much worse than she sometimes looked on the freighter with her windswept hair.
He did the opposite of keeping his voice down though. He got up and moved over to her bathroom, ran the water and splashed his face with it a couple of times to wake himself up properly.
"Good to see you can stand by the way" he commented.

Charlotte winced everytime he spoke, her head throbbing horribly. She growled, gritting her teeth together as she grabbed a brush from her dresser and attempted distangling her hair.
"I can stand perfectly, thanks." She muttered. "And do you have to be so loud?" She hissed at Miles as he went into the bathroom. "I have a headache!"

"Gee. I wonder why that is?" Miles asked mockingly. He checked his pockets quickly for his things, and now, convinced Charlotte was alright, got ready to head out the door.
"Hey Charlotte" he smirked, turning back to her, "thanks for last night."
He nodded to her once as a goodbye and opened the room door, stepping out of it.

She stuck out her tongue childishly at him, still fighting with her hair. He was annoying her, but she stopped when he spoke again as he headed out the door. She glared at him.
"We didn't do anything, so you must be referring to that stupid game you made me play last night. It's why the hell I'm so hung over because of you." She muttered. "And if you're going to be jerkish this morning, get the hell out."

He heard her protests as she left, grinning to himself as he wandered down the corridor. He heard her say 'get the hell out' when he'd already left and smirked to himself about her reaction time.
It was probably going to be a long, painful day for Charlotte... not that he felt sorry for her.
He was right about thanking her for last night, he found out some new helpful information that might come in handy if he needed an accomplice to get back to the island with. Charlotte might just be more useful to him than he originally thought.
After all, that's what friends were, anyhow.
