Thomas tensed up for a second when she squeezed his shoulders. It was just a habit for him, it was a little weird with strangers touching you. But he ignored the feeling and went with it, after all Aussies' were always like one big extended family when they met overseas anyhow.
Thomas offered her a small smile at her suggestion. "I'd really like that." He did want someone familiar with Claire to come with him, perhaps even vouch for him for a moment so she didn't just shut him completely out. "Thanks" he said again quietly.
He thought about what she'd said about her friend, but he was pretty sure that the pattern couldn't be broken. Not for people like him. "Do you know how she came up with Aaron?" He asked gently, not recalling anyone on Claire's family tree with that name.

Leah felt him tense a little when she squeezed his shoulders, she thought about removing her arm from around him, then decided against it. Some how she felt she had to do her best to re-assure him about everything. He hadn't told her to stop it, so she figured there would be no harm in continuing to keep her arm around his shoulders. He was obviously torn and very upset about the whole Claire and Aaron situation. Her heart just continued to go out to the poor guy.
"You're welcome" she said in reply when he said he'd be happy for her to go with him. "I'm not saying it will work, I mean I knew Claire on the Island, but I spent most of my time with Desmond" and lusting after Sawyer she thought to herself. "But it wont do any harm to at least try" she finished with a smile.
She still wasn't sure that it was the best idea, and Claire may not be very happy at Leandra for supporting the man who dumped her while pregnant, but Leah couldn't get it out of her head that everybody, no matter what they've done, everybody deserves at least one second chance.
When he broke the silence with his question about how Claire got Aaron's name, Leah wasn't sure how to reply, because she wasn't sure there was a reason. "I don't know to be honest with you, as far as I am aware she just chose the name" she said softly. He must think she was hopeless, it was as if she knew nothing. He'd be starting to think she was never on the Island with the others.

Thomas didn't even notice when she mentioned a name that was not on the manifest, but all he cared to concentrate on was Claire since the news of the 815 Survivors return, staying up to see if they had a glimpse of her on any broadcasts... her and their son.
When she didn't know anything about the name of Aaron, Thomas just shrugged, though there was visible hurt in his eyes. He put his hands on the bench below him and used them to hoist himself up. He flicked open his cell phone again and looked at her from where he stood.
"What's your number?" He asked. He'd be going to track down Claire very soon and he wanted to make good on her offer. If he knew somebody on the 815 inside, then it should help him to find out where Claire was and how to get into her good graces. Thomas needed all the help he could get.

Leah noticed Thomas seemed a little sad she didn't know anything about how Claire gave Aaron his name. She wished she could help him more, but she just hadn't spent as much time with Claire as she would have liked. She knew Claire, like she knew all the survivors, but there were some she knew more than others.
Thomas soon got up and was looking like he was getting ready to leave. Which she should be doing herself, as she had noticed the time. He had asked for her number. "Sure" she said with a smile, my number is "798-555-7805" she continued, "I look forward to hearing from you soon, nice to meet you Thomas" she finished with a warm smile before taking her leave.
