It had been a quiet day. An incredibly quiet day and as the ocean air passed over her face, Claire had noticed how incredibly quiet it had actually been. Sun had offered to take Aaron, it seemed lately she wanted to spend as much time with the infant as possible and even though Claire had her suspicions, she was unsure. Her first instinct was Sun was pregnant and although she hadn’t shown it or mentioned it… it was very possible, but for the sake of her… and Jin, Claire hoped not.
The island had a funny.. Alright, well not so funny vendetta against women who conceived on the island. Maybe Sun just was happy she got to spend time with an infant since she didn’t have her own? Regardless, it was nice to have some quiet time from now and then even though Claire had already missed him like crazy. SURE he was only down the beach, but it was unusual for Aaron to NOT be glued to her hip.
Taking a deep breath Claire breathed in the Ocean air yet again as the waves washed over her feet, it was so nice this far out, for a few moments, she was actually able to forget about the island, forget about the others, and forget about all of the problems they’d all managed to come into contact with.

Sun was pregnant.
Well, Charlie wasn't sure Sun was pregnant, and the only pregnant person Charlie had ever been in contact besides Claire was his sister-in-law, and when Karen had been pregnant, she had craved disgusting things like pickels and ice cream, or haggis. And when Claire had been pregnant, she hadn't really been...different. At least when Charlie had known her. So, in the end, Sun could have been pregnant and Charlie wouldn't have known...then again, Charlie could have wildly imagined everything, and forgot the simple fact that Sun was super-nice and willing to watch Aaron whenever Claire needed.
Charlie looked down the beach, seeing Claire sitting with her feet in the sand as the waves lapped hungrily at them. After everything that had happened, Charlie and Claire had grown closer. And Charlie wouldn't have it any other way at all. Silently, Charlie walked behind her, wrapping his arms around her as he placed a kiss on her neck. He met her gaze at the ocean with a slight sigh. "Y'know," he started, moving to sit behind her with his arms still wrapped around her waist. "Me mum used to say that if you closed your eyes and listened to the ocean, you could hear whispers." He tightened his grip around her stomach slightly, and motioned with his head lightly. "C'mon. Close 'em and listen. I doubt it'll repeat itself."
As he watched her close her eyes, Charlie smiled slightly, leaning his lips to her ear, his voice a whisper.
"I love you."
Charlie knew, unlike the Ocean and it's secrets, Charlie would repeat it over and over and over again, every single minute of every day.

Her own little world. That’s what she was off it. IT was unclear what Claire was really even thinking about, but regardless, it left her with a small smile on her face as she looked out at the ocean, they’d be rescued soon and if not, well they had each other looking out for everyone. And eventually some one had to find them, right? The moment Claire felt some one’s hands wrap around her she jumped lightly as a small gasp came out of her lips. When she looked down, it was obvious who it was as the taped fingers read ‘FATE’. The look of shock had vanished and a smile flew up to her lips.
“You scared me.” Claire told him softly as her hands rested atop his. Charlie, and Charlie alone was the only person on the island that could make her feel safe and actually protected. It seemed when ever he was around a mood washed over her that could make it all okay. He was her sunshine. As his lips pressed against her neck Claire’s eyes fluttered shut lightly as a small groan past out of her lips. She couldn’t help but smile as she was pulled closer to him. It’s where she wanted to remain for the rest of her life.
Never before had she felt like this towards some one… Well, she thought she had, but Thomas was a lie, and it was clear they couldn’t of ever had what her and Charlie now held. Claire followed and sat down in front of Charlie still feeling his warmth on her. She didn’t care that she was getting wet, the water was unusually warm anyways. Feeling it soak her jeans, she knew Charlie would be in the same position, and instead of saying anything she smiled and listened to him speak.
“Whispers?” She gave him a small look before her eyes shut once again. Whispers weren’t nessicarily a good thing on this island. Claire listened, her breathing even and her hands linked with Charlie’s. The sounds of the ocean were only interrupted by the sounds of the seagulls that flew hungrily over head searching for small morsels of food.
The moment Charlie’s breath hit her ear a small shiver ran up her spine and his words only made the butterflies in her stomach swarm faster. “I feel the same.” She told him quietly leaning her head back.

Resting his chin on her shoulder, Charlie smiled slightly as he looked out at the ocean. If someone were to have asked him 2 years ago, hell, six months ago if he saw himself with Claire, he would have laughed in their faces. Because no girl like Claire would have ever been with a junkie like him. However as he wrapped his arms tighter around Claire, he knew that for some strange and beautiful reason, they were perfect for each other.
Charlie wondered slightly how something horrific as a plane crash could bring people together as it had. People that Charlie figured would have never crossed paths in regular, normal, non-Island life, now found themselves stuck with each other. Liam would have been proud of him, Charlie thought. He had found himself a girl and settled down. Well, settled on a not-so deserted and creepy island.
"Well," Charlie said what seemed like an eternity of silence. "I always wanted to go to Hawaii. This may not be exactly Hawaii, but I've got meself a beautiful girl, we've got the beach, we've got the waves, hell, we've got the stars when it gets dark. All I need is one of those drinks with the umbrella in it and I think I'd be set. 'Cept, y'know, without the polar bears and the big giant floating monster o' smoke and, you know, the hatches and stuff."
Charlie moved his fingers, sliding them through Claire's. "But still, I got you here...so I think I could deal with the polar bears and boars and stuff."
Charlie's gaze met the ocean again, before he brightened. "Oh!" he said excitedly, removing one hand to point towards the ocean. "Look! Look! I-I saw a Dolphin! Dolphin's are smart, right? And friendly, too, yeah? Maybe we can like, tie a bottle to one and have it go to a coast. Surely someone'll see the bottle and be like, 'Oh, that's strange, lemme check that out. Oh! Oceanic 815 people! They're alive!' and stuff." he said with a nod. "That's the perfect plan. Now all we have to do is, you know...catch one." He looked at Claire. "How hard is it to catch a dolphin?"
