To the Survivors of Oceanic Flight 815 -
May I first take a moment to express my extreme happiness that you all have made it back to Los Angeles safe and sound, and my extreme condolences for those families that did not have their loved ones return. I, for one, cannot even begin to understand what you all must have gone through; the thought alone can frighten anyone. However, rest assured, that you are safe and welcome back in Los Angeles, and the living world.
Located in these envelopes are things that you may find useful, such as telephone numbers to the nearest therapists and social workers, government officials and other people of interest in helping make your transition back into society as quick and as painless as possible. Also included in this envelope is a check for 250,000 US dollars, which can be used in any way you see fit, whether it be a down payment on a house, a new car, or a vacation to rest your understandably weary souls. Also included in this envelope is Oceanic's Golden Pass. This is a promise that wherever Oceanic flies, you will be allowed on board, first class, free of charge. Oceanic Airlines has just opened a terminal at London's Heathrow International Airport, with terminals opening in Paris, Ireland, and Sweden in the coming months. As always, we have many stops in American cities, so when you fly Oceanic Airlines, you'll always know will always have a destination.
Once again, we at Oceanic Airlines are sincerely sorry for the pain and suffering that you've been through, and hope this transition is as quick and painless as possible, and as always, we hope to see you in the skies with Oceanic Airlines, taking you places you've never imagined.
If for any reason you have questions concerning anything at all, please do not hesitate to call Daniel Avery, head Lawyer for Oceanic Airlines, at the corporate office in Los Angeles, California. The number is printed on the bottom of this letter.
