Short Personality description; On an up day, Libby can be the kindest person you’ll ever meet. She’s always looking for ways to help others at whatever cost to herself, and has a soothing, friendly countenance that sets people at ease.
On a down day... let’s just say that the results can be unpredictable.
Any Interesting History?; Men believe that one of the greatest mysteries in the world is a woman, and Libby is no exception to that. Her past is shrouded in mystery, and that is how she would like to keep it.
She is a woman of means, having been left a fair amount of money and property by her late husband including a boat named after her that she simply gave away to a hard on his luck Scotsman out to prove himself and win back the love of his life.
After a stint in the mental ward, she skipped the country, wanting to see the world. Greece was beautiful, France romantic, but Australia... perhaps all the travelling was tiring her out, or it was just so far from home, but she quickly found herself homesick and booking a flight back to America. Unfortunately, she didn’t make that flight. While going through the whole routine, Libby saw something – someone – that set her off. Experiencing a psychotic episode, she started screaming and fighting violently through the crowds. Security captured her and took her away where she was sedated.
When she finally arrived back to the States a few days later, it was straight into the Santa Monica Mental Institution. She seemed to recover quickly and was allowed to check out, but she is under strict supervision while at work, and has to check in every week with her doctor.
Anything else we should know?; Just that things aren’t always what they seem
Four Sample Paragraph AS that character;;
Every country she had been to was more beautiful than the next, but it was time to go home. She was beginning to have trouble sleeping, and sometimes when struck with such a shockingly foreign situation she would start to hyperventilate. She had thought Australia would be the answer to that, a country where they still spoke English, but something about it made her nervous. She didn’t like the idea of being stuck on an island, water closing in at all sides. It was terrifying and suffocating.
Tucking a strand of blonde hair behind her ear, Libby looked anxiously around the airport. She hated waiting in line. She just wanted to get on the plane and get it over with, and the man at the front of the line arguing was not helping.
As her green eyes continued to scan the crowded airport, they suddenly stopped upon a man and a young boy. There was nothing particularly striking about him, but she couldn’t tear her eyes away. Suddenly she felt a sharp pain in her abdomen as if someone was stabbing something sharp through her. Once. Twice. The feelings of shock, betrayal and fear were overwhelming and she started to scream.
Turning quickly, she started to run. Panic overtaking her she shoved her way through the crowd, pushing people down and getting as far from the man as she could. And still she screamed. She couldn’t stop screaming. Even when she felt the strong hands of the security officers grab her she screamed. Even as she tried to escape, kicking, struggling; still she screamed. It wasn’t until they managed to sedate her that the screaming stopped, but even then, for a moment, it could still be seen silently in her eyes as they fixed one last time on him.
