Short Personality description; Claire Littleton overall is a positive person who looks for the best in everyone. She’s been through a lot in her life, and has experienced many different people and has been put through some ultimate tests of character. Claire is caring and passionate about life. She also is a new found believer in the fact of everything happens for a reason. The fun loving twenty two year old, believes in giving everyone a fair chance and listening people out.
Claire also likes to believe in things that aren’t proven right, such as physics, tarot cards and a bunch of other things. Once you get into her heart, you’ll have a hard time getting out. She doesn’t forget people easily, and won’t let some one go just because. Claire has found taking life for granted gets you no where, so for now, she goes on cherishing every moment and not letting anything slide through the strainer with out being appreciated. She believes life is full of miracles and blessings you just need to look hard enough.
Any Interesting History?; Claire Littleton was born and raised in Sydney , Australia by her mother Carole Littleton. Her father was Christian Shephard, the man Carole had an affair with. Christian had managed to visit Claire plenty of times as she was growing up. The visits often left Claire showered with gifts, toys and the brief feeling of love from her father. Lindsey, Claire’s aunt however absolutely despised Christian, she’d often go off telling him her words of hate along with her opinion of Carole not being able to deal with him having two families. This resulted in Christian dropping off of the face of the planet, leaving the brief memory of him with Claire, although it slowly began to fade leaving her with out the slightest trace of a father figure.
As Claire grew into her teen years she became rather rebellious and began to stop listening to her mother. Eventually Claire also began to dress as a gothic, sporting black hair, nail polish and clothing often. Her theory on life was rather dark as well. At this point in her life when she was old enough, she was hired in a piercing and tattoo parlor. That is where she made her money and spent most of her time since she was unable to deal with her mother for a lot of it. After saving up enough money Claire had gotten her drivers permit. This gave her a new found freedom as well as a quicker route to work since she no longer had to wait for the buses, or beg her mom to give her a ride.
Everything was looking up aside from her dwindling relationship with her mother. Claire had continued to date, and was searching for the man of her dreams. That’s also what had caused a heated argument between herself and her mother as Claire drove them to the grocery store. Screams were tossed around carelessly along with words of hate, and that’s when she was forced off the road by a truck, and they crashed. Claire was the lucky one, she only suffered a broken arm, various cuts and bruises and a deep gash above her eye. Carole, Her mother wasn’t that lucky however. When the Doctor told her that she’d suffered severe brain hemorrhaging and was now in a deep a coma, It nearly killed Claire. She didn’t know the last words that had come out of her mouth to her mother, but she knew she wasn’t proud of them… It broke her heart to know she’d done this.
Weeks and weeks after constant visits, a new person came into the picture, Christian Shephard. He came there to convince Claire and Lindsey to take Carole off of life support. Some father he was turning out to be. Claire demanded he leave them, she wanted absolutely nothing to do with him, and just wanted him out of her life like he had been for the previous years. He’d disappeared after admitting to paying the medical bills for her.
As time grew on, the visits to her mother increased and Claire had a new job. Working at the Fish & Fry fast-food joint for an extremely embarrassing five dollars an hour. Even though Claire didn’t want to admit it, it seemed she was going no where in life. Well, aside from her boyfriend Thomas life was shitty. Claire found it hard trying to get by day by day. Lindsey was always on her back and constantly bitching at her. One day things changed though, Claire was pregnant and Thomas was the father. She was only twenty two… Thomas convinced her the baby would be the best thing ever and give their lives hope and joy, what they’d both been missing. Claire agreed reluctantly and kept the baby.
Mere month later however, Thomas left her claiming he was too young to be a father, and it was simply too much to handle. Almost immediately after he left Claire. It was far too late to have an abortion now, leaving her with the only choice to give the baby up for adoption, she wouldn’t be able to support it on a pathetic five dollars an hour… Or even by herself.. Rachel, Claire’s friend had been the only one keeping her from being a suicide risk. That’s when she came up with the amazing idea of taking Claire to see Richard Malkin, a small town psychic. These were a weak point on Claire considering she believed in all sorts of things surrounding the psychic realm, Rachel believed it would be for the best and in the end cheer her best friend up.
Bad idea. Richard saw only terrible things while reading her palm. He assured her that Claire herself had to raise the child as danger surrounded the baby. Claire didn’t believe him and left, telling him to leave her alone. Soon after she visited her mother at the hospital wanting to tell her that she was pregnant. Her words also held praise and amazement as Claire stated she was amazed her mother raised her alone. Claire also apologized for saying the things she did right before the car crash, and mentioned that she didn’t hate her mother, and wished she wasn’t dead, or in a coma.
Eventually the time came and Claire went to meet with the arranged Child’s adoptive parents, Arlene and Joseph Stewart. She requested a few things, one of them being that they sing “Catch a falling star” to the baby as it was the song her father used to sing to her. As she was about to sign the papers, both of the pens she attempted to use didn’t work, there for giving her a nagging feeling at the back of her mind. Canceling the deal she returned to Malkin who assured her the baby would be safe if she gave it to a couple in Los Angeles who were ‘good people’. He gave her a ticket for Oceanic Flight 815 and Claire left assuming she was about to start a brand new life in America, thoughts of Thomas had disintegrated in the back of her mind.

Anything else we should know?;
Four Sample Paragraph AS that character;; Mostly everyone knows me, and my Claire, but what the hell
Claire’s arms wrapped around her amazingly large, pregnant stomach as she took a seat on the largest rock that had nested in the sand. Her feet dangled, yet her toes had managed to rest atop the wet sand, the small waves bringing in just enough water to cover them. Claire’s eyes however were simply glued to the horizon line, her hopes for a boat coming to find them had sky rocketed. They’d been here for about five days now… It was only a matter of time before they’d be found. Thankfully the baby had began kicking her again after Jin, the Korean man had offered her food. That alone had put the stress and shock of the plane crash in the grave yard. Even though Jack had tried to calm her after the crash, it didn’t help. When your baby didn’t kick.. Your thoughts of worry simply wouldn’t stop until you were one hundred percent sure they were okay.
A light breeze ran through her long wavy hair, twirling a few strands about in the air. One thing she was dying for was a nice hot shower, and her body rub. She was almost desperate as the thoughts of how nice the water would feel as it washed over her, how relaxing it would be. Even how nice it would be to just get clean. She’d settled for bathing in one of the springs, but it was incredibly hard to get in and out when you were pregnant, but aside from all of this, she was looking on the bright side. She’d made a few friends, even with a little help she’d made her own shelter, and she was being fed. Sure Claire was a little deprived of the things she needed, but she was looking on the bright side. They’d be rescued soon, and for the time being, it wasn’t that bad.
Claire smiled as Vincent ran by, Walt running after him actually laughing, the small boy waved excitedly as he ran by. Claire’s smile grew as she waved back at him. How was it, a little boy could be so content, even happy after crashing here? As it was, the twenty two year old was at first horrified among many other emotions…. Her thoughts ceased as she pushed off of the rock. She had promised herself she wasn’t going to dwell on this. Her gaze traveled down the shore line as Vincent came rushing back with a stick in his mouth heading towards the camp. Walt sped up behind him and rushed off attempting to wrestle the stick out of his mouth. How speedy the two of them seemed. Here Claire was attempting to waddle her way through the sand. Even when she wasn’t pregnant, Claire had always found sand incredibly hard to walk on… But now, being pregnant, it seemed like molasses was included in the mix.
On the even brighter side, among all the fantastic people she’d met. One seemed to stick out more then the rest. Charlie Pace. On the first night here he’d came to her side and offered his blanket in attempts to make small talk. After a while he’d had her laughing and the thoughts of the crash had disintegrated from her mind. As it turned out, he was the bassist from DriveShaft. Thankfully though, he wasn’t a cocky jackass like most rock stars.. No, he had much more then that… Claire smiled at the mere thought of him, the closer she got to camp, the louder the chatter got. People were out walking around seeing how everyone was doing, or they were collecting food supplies, and really just trying to busy themselves from their own thoughts. Then there was Charlie, mere feet away from her hunched over playing his guitar. “Hey Charlie.” She smiled, Slowly attempting to walk over and sit beside him.
OR
“Hello you.” Claire smiled , an animated look on her face as she lowered it closer to Aaron. She dodged his tiny hands as they tried to squeeze her nose. “Oh no you don’t!” she laughed lightly, Claire loved her son, beyond anything.. That was one thing she was thankful for the Island.. If it wasn’t for the crash, Aaron would be with some other family in L.A. Now, the thought seemed unthinkable, but as she boarded the plane, her thoughts were still clear as day. She was too young to be a mother. She couldn’t do it by herself. They’d never last. How wrong was she? If anything, she proved herself even more as a mother out here… With the help of the loving people around her, they’d formed their own little community, through thick and thin they were able to protect each other, and Claire was able to protect Aaron.
The small thoughts made her smile as her hands went behind the small baby’s back, Claire’s hands brushed against Aaron’s smooth back as she picked him up and held him to her chest. He was a bundle of love. A very affectionate one. “Oh how’s mummy’s big boy?” she cooed wrapping his blanket behind his back making sure he was protected from the sun. They were very lucky thus far and hadn’t encountered a sun burn. They were careful and had managed to avoid the extreme rays, it seemed here, they were killer and could easily result in a sun burn. Her first memory of such thing was when Sawyer was too high on his horse to accept sun screen from anyone… So in the end he looked like an oversized lobster.
As she continued to talk to Aaron Claire wrapped her arms around him protectively. His gurgles and coos reassuring her that he was in a good mood. It was nice to be back in camp after their little hike. Rescue was on the way and she was trying her best to ignore the fact Charlie and Desmond weren’t around. Things were getting weird and she hoped to God the two were okay. Ana-Lucia had made another appearance as well, that alone had baffled not only Claire’s mind, but everyone else’s as well. She was supposed to be dead, and although they ALL knew the island had some sort of freaky powers, this was pushing it! “Do you want some water?” She cooed to Aaron in a baby voice grabbing one of the filled bottles from the ‘kitchen’ counter. Despite her happy appearance, she couldn't get her mind off of the where abouts of Charlie.
