Short Personality description;
Daniel has two personalities. The Daniel that works for Dharma and Hanso is emotionless and to the point. He speaks clearly, and some can say that his speaking can be consitered cold. Daniel has been known to have a temper, and fully understands the control and power that is held by the people he words for. Not afraid to speak his mind, Daniel has been known to threaten to get his point across, and is feircely loyal to his superiors.
The Daniel that the rest of the world knows is carefree and can be consitered a bit of a playboy. When he enters a room, he's the life of the party.
Any Interesting History?;
Daniel was born into an upperclass New York family to Rebecca and Franklin Avery. His mother was a researcher for what would later be known as the Dharma Initative, and his father was a Lawyer for the Hanso Foundation. Their work, of course, was shrouding in secrets and whispers. Daniel himself did not know the true nature of his parents work until he was an adult. Following in his father's footsteps, he became a Lawyer, working small New York firms until he was able to join his father, backing first Hanso Foundation and then Oceanic Airlines when it was bought by the Hanso Foundation shortly after the crash of Oceanic Flight 815.
Daniel was set up by friends onto a blind date with a woman named Ana-Lucia. The two hit it off, and soon, it was found out that Ana was pregnant. Although terrified by the fact that he soon was going to be a father, Daniel stayed by Ana-Lucia, even after she was shot. When Daniel found out that they had lost the baby, he was heartbroken. However, not as heartbroken as Ana-Lucia. They soon grew apart, mostly because Ana would not speak to him, and Daniel could not handle the silence anymore. In a stroke of either luck or curse, Daniel was called overseas to Copenhagen to help with a suit against the Foundation, however, Daniel was unable to tell Ana where he was going, or when he would return. He left in the middle of the night without even a note. The only reason Ana knew that Daniel was alive was that Daniel sent her a single postcard from of the mermaid landmark in Copenhagen that held only two words: "I'm Sorry."
When Oceanic 815 crashed and when Hanso bought out Oceanic Airlines, Daniel was made head Lawyer for Oceanic under the Foundations orders.
Since the buy-out of Oceanic 815, Daniel has been living in Los Angeles, working between Hanso's Santa Barbera office and Oceanic's Los Angeles office. He has yet to make contact with Ana-Lucia.
Four Sample Paragraph AS that character;;
"Oceanic Airlines is taking every measure to see that you are well compensated for your pain and suffering. We are willing to help you get back on your feet after this most diffacult time by any means nessessary."
Daniel knew it was a lie. Oceanic was paying these people off, of course, but only to keep them quiet so they didn't have to start killing them. None of them were supposed to get off that island. However, Daniel had been told that many of the people had gotten off, including the people that had found out about the Hatches, the Island's true purpose, and many of the other secrets that it had held. They were paid handsomely to keep their mouths shut until Dharma could figure out what to do with them.
"However," Daniel stated, clicking the pen as he wrote something down on the paper. "Mr. Harris, we're going to have to come to an understanding for all of this to go into motion." He set the pen down and folded his hands on the yellow legal pad. "What happened on that Island never existed. This is for the safety of the general public. We understand that what you have gone through must be horrific, however, it is not to be spoken of. You don't speak to the press at all, are we clear, Mr. Harris?"
"But what if they ask, what if--"
"If they ask, you simply say to them that the past three months have been a horrible time in your life, and you wish to forget it." Daniel said simply, however, there was an edge in his voice, a chilling simpleness to his words. "You are not to speak to your family about what has happened to you on that island, in return, Oceanic Airlines is fully willing to provide you with money for a home, a new job, whatever you wish to do to make this transition back into 'normal' life as easy and as painless as possible." Daniel felt a smile hitch at his lips as the man looked at him. "And please, Mr. Harris, do understand that Oceanic is quite serious about keeping this matter private. We will do everything in our power to make sure that this does not happen again, as we will make sure that this will not stop Oceanic's future flights. We will not have panic created, are we clear? We will need this in writing, so if you would please. Sign here."
The man nodded slowly, a slightly worried look on his face as he signed and Daniel smiled, standing as he held out his hand. "Alright, Mr. Harris," he said as he shook the man's hand, "it was a pleasure to speak with you, and if you have any questions, don't hesitate to call our number at Oceanic. And please, consiter yourself our most important guest, and we hope to see you once again on Oceanic Airlines."
