The words flowed from her mouth like a river, quickly and fluently. She spoke in almost a whisper, speaking in the language she had known for several years, but still often wondered how she still understood it. She paused for a moment as the person on the other end spoke, before continuing on her own rant. Charlotte hissed as the person said something that offended her and she instantly muttered something back in Korean before hanging up, shutting her cell phone and pocketing it as she shut the door to her hotel room, also pocketing the card key.
Charlotte sighed and quickly glanced both ways down the hall before heading to her left, following the slightly familiar path to the elevators. She really needed to get a ticket back home, but she had been so tired recently that she kept forgetting, or had just been too tired to go out much. Besides, she wasn't too keen on travelling anytime soon, having just spent several weeks on a dirty, enclosed, and very boring Freighter, and even a few weeks on a mysterious island that still creeped her out slightly.
Running a hand through her hair, she pressed the down button several times, impatiently waiting for the elevator that seemed to take forever to come. Once its metal doors slide open, she stepped inside, still pondering her conversation she had just gotten over. The man had already pissed her off before, and now he was obviously attempting to do it again. Of course, he was back in Korea, and she was here, so Charlotte really didn't want to let it bother her much. However, as the elevator doors slid open again, she remained stiff as she walked out into the lobby of the Roosevelt Hotel, thinking over where exactly she wanted to go at that moment.
