"What do you want?" he demanded, looking down at her. In this position he could snap her neck easily, so she'd best not try anything.
He looked her over with appreciation but tried not to let that get the better of him. He brought up a hand to run it through his hair and started at her again, his voice just as harsh when he repeated. "What do you want from me?"

What do you want?....His voice boomed at her and it was sounding rather threatening. Leandra was actually feeling a little scared of him at that moment. He obviously thought she was after something from him, when in truth all she wanted was someone to hold her, make her feel like a woman again. She struggled to find words, he looked and sounded so angry at this moment. "I..I'm not sure what you mean" she said in tentative tones.
What do you want from me?....To this, whether it was a good move or not, she brought her hand up to his face in what she hoped was a reassuring manner. "I don't want anything from you Miles other than..." she didn't know how to put it, as what ever she said he could maybe take it the wrong way. So she tried a different approach, "I just want someone to hold me" she said it in such sincere tones, that it should have been been impossible for him not to believe her. She truly did like him. "I like you Miles, I like you quite a lot in fact, I don't want anything other than to be held. The one thing I want more than anything is just to be loved" she could feel tears welling in her eyes.
Christ she thought, tears was definitely something she didn't want him to see. She had to toughen up if she wanted to be with him, there was no way he'd take on a wuss of a woman. She bit them back in the hope that he wouldn't see them, wouldn't see just how vulnerable she could actually be.

Miles didn't believe her rant about 'just wanting to be loved' or some crap. What did that even mean? He pushed himself up off the bed and went to get another drink from her mini bar. "Just how stupid do you think I am? A girl like you just happens to have trouble getting into her room when I'm out looking for Linus and you say you don't want anything?" He bit his lip angrily and looked away from her, out the window, before looking back.
"So what is it?" He said, cornering in on her again, twisting the cap off the mini bottle and downing another whole drink of vodka within seconds. "Just what is it exactly that you want?"

This wasn't going well at the moment she thought. He just kept continuing to shout at her, and obviously hadn't believed anything she had just told him. She wasn't even going to try and say anything until he had stopped shouting questions at her. There was no point in trying to speak when he was in a rant. She watched as he helped himself to another drink and waited for him to stop shouting questions before she decided to try and defend herself.
"First of all, I don't think you're stupid at all" she said in quite a firm voice, in fact if she didn't know better herself, she'd say it was a rather angry tone. Something she wasn't used to being. But one thing she hated was someone saying or making out she was lying when she was telling the truth. "I'd like to say I dropped my card on purpose because I wanted to see you, but the truth is, I didn't even know you were there until you approached me" she explained some more still in slight angry tones.
"I wasn't just standing waiting for you to appear, nobody has asked me to track you down, and nobody has asked me to try and trick you. I'm just me. I've liked you since I first saw you on the Island. I've had what you could call some sort of attraction to you and still have" the more she tried to defend and explain herself, the angrier she was becoming. Not angry in particular at Miles, just angry that he didn't seem to believe what she was saying to him.
"And as for Ben... you honestly think I'm working for him or something? I don't even like the bastard" she shouted, "So stop thinking I'm after you for something, other than the fact that for some stupid fucking reason I like you" she shouted and then walked over to him and kissed him with a force she didn't even realise she had. Pulling back she said "Does that answer your questions?"

He dropped the bottle and kissed her back, unbelieving at how angry she was getting at him. He had a right not to trust her. He had a right not to trust anybody.
He broke apart from her, somewhat breathless. "Look, lets just say I believe you about the part about not setting this up. And the part about hating Ben." His eyes narrowed, "but I'm supposed to just believe you that you don't want anything?"
He gave her an odd sort of a smirk, "I'd hate to break it to you, but this isn't the 1950s we're living in." He cupped her face with his hand, studying her, brushing the side of her cheek with his thumb.

Had she finally managed to convince him she wondered when he kissed her back. And when he did kiss her back the hairs on the back or her neck stood up and a tingle when right down her spine. Feelings she hadn't had for a very long time. She just hoped it would continue, this what ever it was they would have.
Well she hadn't quite convinced him, he had believed her about not setting it up, and hating Ben, but he still thought she wanted him for something. Well she did want him for something, his body, his caresses, his kisses, his dare she say it, love. But she wouldn't say the last word to him, because somehow she didn't think he would want to hear that.
but I'm supposed to just believe you that you don't want anything?....She threw her hands up in the air in exasperation. "Fine... okay yes I do want something" she began with a surrender, "I want you. Why is that so hard to believe? I know it's difficult to trust people from what happened on the Island, but I'm one of the good guys. I want you, it's that simple, I want that mouth against mine, I want those arms around me, I want your that body against mine, I want you" she said in softer tones, all the anger from before gone.
"I know it's not the 1950's, and I know it wont be all sweetness and light, but I don't care, I just want you" there really wasn't much else she could do to convince him otherwise. If he still wasn't convinced she didn't want him for anything other than sex to put it bluntly then she was beat.

"You're not one of the good guys" Miles scowled. From what he knew about her past, she could never be... but her words managed to convince him enough.
He snarled one last, "Fine" before taking her in his arms again, but not stopping his suspicious looks that she might do something he wasn't expecting to him while he was distracted. Miles didn't want to play it dumb.
"If you try anything, don't even think that I won't make you pay for it" he told her, stroking her face again. He wasn't dumb enough to have pretty girls be his downfall.

You're not one of the good guys...."Okay I've had a bit of a checkered past, but when I said I was one of the good guys, I meant I wasn't in league with Ben Linus" she replied with a frown. What would it take to convince him? She wasn't even sure she'd ever truly convince him, she'd just have to prove to him, that she wouldn't be selling him out.
She relished being in his arms, the more she was with him, even if it had been tough to try and crack him, the more she was warming to him. She nuzzled into his neck a little when he took her in his arms.
If you try anything, don't even think that I won't make you pay for it....Leah smiled, "I know what you're like Miles, I would never want to be your enemy, I know it's difficult for you to do, but you just have to trust me, I don't hurt people I like" she said gently putting her hands around his neck and tickling the back of his neck and down to his ear with her thumb.

He felt himself warming to her too, but he felt it impossible to surrender and not be on his guard. He couldn't trust anyone still. He didn't want to trust anyone. Well... he sometimes felt he could trust the others from the freighter. His team: Dan, Charlotte and Frank. But anyone new he was weary of.
"Who said I have to trust you?" He smirked, pulling her off of him long enough to take her back to the bed. He pulled her down with him and kissed her hungrily.

She could feel Miles was starting to let go a little, but she kind of knew deep down he wouldn't truly trust her. At least not right away anyway, and she had to forgive him for that. Once he'd been with her a few times, if she was that lucky, he'd realise that she wasn't going to sell him out to anybody.
Who said I have to trust you?...She licked her lips lightly when he said this, "No one I guess, but just to make it easier, I spent most of the afternoon with Charlotte, I'm pretty sure she'll vouch for me" she was pretty desperate to win him over, if she couldn't do it alone, then maybe some backup from someone he DID trust would help her.
However he took her back over to the bed and pulled her down with him and kissed her with a hunger, so she kissed him back with as much hunger, little moans of pleasure escaping from her no matter how hard she tried not to. She couldn't help it, she wanted him, she liked him heck she might even in a way love him, so how could she not have moans of pleasure.

Charlotte. Miles stopped. That woman's name knew how to spoil a mood pretty fast. His eyes crinkled a little. "Charlotte? You've been checking up on me?" He asked suspicously yet again.
He couldn't believe this. The last thing he wanted was Charlotte to be involved with his personal life... if what he was doing right now even was a personal life.
Why would she need to speak to Charlotte? His brow furrowed, contemplating this. He sighed and brought himself back up to a sitting position. "What exactly do you know about me?" He queried, his voice not so harsh this time.

Charlotte? You've been checking up on me?....Oops, so saying Charlotte wasn't such a good idea, she thought the two of them were friends. Well from what Charlotte said earlier, they had more like a brother/sister hate relationship but that to Leah was still friends. Or so she thought. She blanched slightly, just as she thought things were going well.
She sighed gently before speaking, "No Miles I wasn't checking up on you, I was in a cafe to meet up with my father, he called to say he'd had an accident and Charlotte just happened to walk into the cafe so we got talking. I wasn't asking her anything about you, it was just general conversation" she explained with a smile.
Miles could certainly be a tricky nut to crack, but then Charlotte did warn her she could be in for a rough time. She sighed gently again when he asked his next question although his tone wasn't so severe.
What exactly do you know about me?..."Not much" she began, "Only what I heard through rumours on the Island" she continued. "There was talk of whether you and your team were here to kill us or save us, turns out you weren't there for either but Dan persuaded you to help us off the Island, that's all I know about you. Even only knowing that, I still like you" she said softly, hoping that she had managed to turn things around again after ruining it with mentioning Charlotte.

"So you don't know anything?" he asked backhandedly, "not my occupation... nothing."
He raised an eyebrow. "Just happened to..." he repeated. There seemed to be an awful lot of just happenings going on.
What surprised him even more is that she didn't even care. She wasn't trying to use him to track down some ghost. She wasn't trying to use him for Widmore or Ben. She wasn't trying to scam money out of him... or so he could figure so far. Which brought him back to his original question: just what did she want from him?
"If you don't know me" he scowled and grimaced, "then how can you possibly like me?" He shot that at her, with his temper flaring again. He didn't need this crap. He hardly needed honesty but he needed motive.... even if it was false.

So you don't know anything?..."Well that's not quite true, I know you're a psychic of sorts, I heard that you can tell how someone has died from looking at their body" she explained a little more. The thing with Miles was, she did like him, but he could also be a little intimidating, so she never really knew when speaking to him what the right things to say to him were.
Just happened to...She sighed a little louder this time, "Yes, it's not my fault she walked into the same cafe I was in, she was already sitting at a table quite far away from me, when I noticed her, come on Miles, I'm really not playing you" she tried once more to defend herself.
If you don't know me...then how can you possibly like me...."I do know you, I just don't know enough, I'd like to know more. I like you because you don't take shit from anybody, you're handsome and well even if it wasn't your intention to begin with you helped us off that Island" she couldn't say much more, because he was right in a way. Looking at it from his point of view, how could she like him when she didn't know him, really know him. All she knew was she wanted to get to know him. "But I do want to get to know more about you"

Well wasn't that great? Miles snorted, they could have a little conversation about how screwed up his life was.
Miles massaged his temples with his fingers for a second before turning back to her. Talk was cheap. He'd always known that. And right now he didn't know if he gave a damn about her knowing anything about him.
I'm not going to play you was always what someone would say when they were playing you, in Miles' experience.
He lay back down again, confusion in his eyes. He leaned over and softly kissed her. "OK, fine. But if we're going to do this, we're going to do this my way."
