It was late evening, she had spent a great day with Charlotte catching up in general, and actually learned a lot more about the girl than she ever knew on the Island. It was nice in a lot of ways. It was good to have another friend. In Leandra's opinion one can never have too many friends. But in the evening, it was more than just a friend Leah was looking for.
It had been so long since she was in some sort of relationship she was beginning to wonder if she'd ever find anybody. It was alright having these unrequited crush things going on, maybe even having sex for the fun of it, but even then she couldn't remember the last time any guy wanted her. Maybe she just wasn't special enough she thought. She was looking forward to an evening in her room adding to her drinks bar account.
She got her room card out of her bag and started to swipe it, but she suddenly felt a little shaky and the card slipped out of her hand. She bent down to pick up the room card and smacked her head against the door handle.
"Fuck!" she shouted as she slid down the door into a sitting position with her hand over her head, scared to look to see if she had actually made herself bleed.

Miles was jumpy. He'd almost gotten thrown out of this hotel for yelling at the front desk operator who told her that there was no Ben Linus, Henry Gale, Dean Moriarty etc. etc. registered here. Ben was much too smart for that. Ben was much to smart for him. He was about to ram his fist through a wall.
He needed to find that asshole and he needed to get back to the island. It was as simple as that.
He was pacing down one of the many floors that he had been on, looking for room numbers (4 8 15 16 23 42) which Miles was sure would be the only ones Ben would stay in.
He was just about to get on the elevator when he heard a woman curse loudly nearby. Miles hesitated and then went to check it out. He had things to do. He took a quick look into the hall which wasn't so empty any more, at the blond woman trying to get up from the floor. But it wasn't just anyone... it was an 815 survivor.
Must by my lucky day. Miles thought. With everything that happened at the police station now Miles needed to get closer to the 815 survivors than he thought previously.
"Well, well, well..." he muttered to himself.

Leah couldn't believe the pain she was getting from where she had whacked her forehead, she slowly moved her hand and looked, but there was no blood. "Thank God" she murmured to herself, but she knew she'd have a great big bruise forming. She thought she was alone in the hall way, so when she heard a familiar voice, she sort of startled at first.
Well, well, well....She looked up slowly, she knew whose voice it was, but she just wanted to confirm it before speaking. "Miles Straume" she said quietly, while giving her forehead a much needed rub. Since he was there, she might as well make use of him, she held out her hands, "Wouldn't mind giving me a help onto my feet please?" she asked sweetly and then smiled at him in a teasing way.

Miles shrugged, took his hands out of his pockets and stuck out a hand to her. "So..." he began, "you just have trouble opening a door or you're trying to break in?" He joked. It wouldn't be too bad if it was the latter. He could have partner in crime at finding Ben in this stupid hotel.
He couldn't imagine she'd still be in a hotel. Seems no one was itching to get home from this place. If Miles didn't already live in L.A. he'd be out of the godforsaken city before anyone could tell him to get out.

At first Leah wasn't sure he was going to hang around never mind help her up onto her feet, but then she saw him taking her hand and she was up on her feet in a matter of seconds. Her face was quite close to his at that point. "Thanks" she said softly with a smile.
you just have trouble opening a door or you're trying to break in?...She had to laugh at this. "Just having trouble opening my door, my hand was shaky and I dropped the card, and smacked my head on the bloody handle when I tried to stand back up again" she explained with a bit of a giggle. "Can't say I've broken into rooms, but I have had to run from the police" she didn't know why she was even telling him that. Maybe if he thought she wasn't such an innocent girl, she could be someone he might be interested in, even for a couple of hours.
She tried opening the door again with success, she grinned and then turned to him, "Fancy a drink?" she could see he had been in a bit of a rush before, but maybe he wouldn't be in so much of a rush he couldn't have a drink. "Or something else?" she teased. It was terrible, she was so desperate to feel wanted, she was teasing with any guy she found remotely good looking just to feel like someone cared about her a fraction.

Miles cast a quick look down the hall. Ben could wait... couldn't he? His eyebrow raised when she mentioned running from the police. This piqued his interest long enough to forget about Ben. This was going to get right into Detective Callis's good books.
Then when she mentioned 'or something else', Miles remembered what he'd heard about her... her and men... but if anything that was good news to him. It really was his lucky night. He smirked, "what did you have in mind?"

She noticed how he raised his eyebrow when she mentioned running from the police, so she thought she had better clarify things a little more. She didn't want him to think she was actually on the run. She had said it wrong, in fact she probably shouldn't have said it at all. What if he used it against her, after all Charlotte did say he could be a jerk. What the hell she thought anyway.
"I'm not actually on the run now, just my mum used to run a brothel and I was doing the accounts for her when they had a police raid, I wasn't going to be involved in that. I only did the bloody books for her because she pressured me into it" if it got back to the police, then she'd just tell them exactly what she was telling Miles now. Anyway this was a long time ago, the police wouldn't do much about it now she was pretty certain.
what did you have in mind?..."I'm not sure, but firstly I could kill for a drink, I really want a shower, and I wouldn't say not to a bit of fun" she finished with a smirk and licked her lips before biting down on her bottom lip lightly.

Miles laughed out loud. It wasn't the sly chuckle he was used to either. A brothel? You have to be kidding me!
"Sure all you did was the books?" He said, snorting a little. The irony was excruciating.
No to a bit of fun... Miles narrowed his eyes suspiciously. It was never this easy. There had to be a catch.

Leandra actually laughed at his shock laugh at what she told him about the brothel. It was the kind of reaction she had half expected from him, and every now and then she just had Charlotte saying in her head all the time, 'he's a jerk'.
Sure all you did was the books?...She nodded her head in agreement and kicked the door shut behind with her hand before walking the the drinks bar, pouring herself a vodka and coke and asked "What would you like to drink? Anything?" and then smiled before continuing, "All I did were the books for two years, I wasn't that kind of girl back then" she tried to defend herself. Truth was though, she hadn't had a proper relationship for a few years now, and even in all that time, she hadn't had a single one night stand either. She couldn't understand why she was desperate to have someone want her so much now. Maybe she was just missing being touched by another man.
[ooc: wasn't sure you were questioning with "no to a bit of fun" or if it was a thought, so I didn't reply to it at all in case it caused confusion]

(( A thought, but I can fix that up))
"Back then" Miles repeated with a smirk, sticking his hands back in his pockets and swaying on his feet. "Yeah, Vodka's fine" he said, indicating to her drink of choice. He guessed the Oceanic 815 survivors had nothing better to do than live in hotels and drink... that's what he got out of Sawyer anyhow...
He went over and sat on her bed. "So what are you now?"

Back then...Yeah, Vodka's fine....She smiled when he spoke, it would seem he was pretty good with the teasing himself, so she may as well carry on. It didn't look like it was going to do any harm anyway. "Yes, back then" she confirmed but had to stifle a laugh, as it wasn't that long ago. But it had still been almost three years since she had been with a man. That was a long time to be single for thought.
She handed him a vodka and smiled, and followed him by sitting on the bed also. "So what am I now?" she repeated his own question back before replying to it. "I would say now, I'm just a lonely girl craving some attention, is that so bad?" she asked giving him a rather doe eyed look and biting down on her bottom lip.

(( Can't say Charlotte didn't warn you )) Miles downed the vodka in one swipe. Heck, he wasn't that dumb just to play it cool when the girl was asking for it. He dropped the bottle and grabbed her shoulders roughly, leaning in to kiss her savagely. Nope. he thought to himself, it wasn't too bad at all. He answered the question in his head and hopefully enough with his mouth... just not vocally. He didn't even remember her name.... but Miles hardly cared at that point. All he had to know is that no name was pretty easy and to just go for it. He would take her offer, give her some "attention" and leave as soon as it was over. After all, she wasn't the type of girl to keep him sticking around very long. He liked mind games. He liked a girl that was going to punch him in the face one second and take advantage of him the next. No name just wasn't that type of girl... Kate, she was that type of girl. Ana Lucia. Heck, even Charlotte when she wanted to be. But this girl... she didn't play the game. And Miles didn't find any sport in using others, as much as he felt it intriguing when a girl could use him. Her vunerability just made it too easy. There was no challenge for him with her, but it didn't mean he didn't want her... for now.

[ooc: Can't say YOU didn't warn me either *giggles* It's fine, I'm enjoying it, although its a tough call to reply to a post where no words have been spoken - means I have to do one which is virtually all description - Leah might be craving the attention, but she isn't a leader - she'll never make the first move in any way ] Leah watched as he downed the vodka in one go, being the typical guy she thought to herself. She had only taken a couple of sips of her own drink before sitting it on the bedside table. When she answered his question about what she was now, he never said a word, but instead grabbed her by the shoulders roughly and savagely kissed her. Not exactly shocked, but a little dazed by the roughness, Leah decided she may as well go with the flow to get what she wanted while the going was good. Miles would be the first guy she had been with in three years. She hadn't even kissed a guy in all this time. And not that she wanted to be big headed about herself, she didn't feel she had lost her touch either. She kissed him back just as savagely, because there was a deep hunger within her. It wasn't the love she so desperately wanted, but it was attention, and that would settle her need for now.Her shoulders were aching from where he had grabbed them, but she didn't let on, she didn't want anything to spoil the moment. She allowed her tongue to explore his open mouth and whimpered slightly with the lust which was aching within her.

Miles was surprised at how quickly she'd responded to him. He was actually a bit bewildered. She didn't waste any time either... and neither did he. He pulled off his jacket and let it drop to the floor, hardly breaking the kiss.
He pushed her back further on the bed but then stopped. He processed the moment. Leant his hands on the bed to steady himself and gave her a quick look of suspicion before asking, "wait... what?" As if it wasn't adding up.

Leah couldn't believe what was happening between them and so quickly. Yes she had a crush on Sawyer, but she knew that it was never going to happen. She couldn't deny she always liked Miles as well, but he never seemed the type of guy who would go for her, or so she thought until now. The kiss was saying plenty for him. Then again her kiss must surely be saying plenty for her.
She tried to stifle a moan of pleasure when he pushed her back onto the bed, but it hadn't quite worked. And it was obvious from when he stopped and looked at her in a weird way he wasn't sure what was happening either. Leah started to worry that if he thought she had any sort of feelings for him at all, he'd back off. She was pretty certain he was doing this as purely a one-off basis.
"What? What's wrong Miles" she asked in silky tones, with a slight heaviness to her breathing.
