He could have sensed something was in the air. Or maybe it was the way that something bad always happens right when you're truely happy. Or maybe death simply followed them. He wasn't sure, but as the sounds of voices, of many people in the hallway filtered to Daniel's brain, he felt himself groan slightly, trying to block them out. He turned over, and felt his hand touch warm skin. Jerking slightly, his eyes snapped open, to see the sleeping form of Charlotte next to him. For a moment, he was confused, not remembering how Charlotte had gotten there...but he remembered burgers and flashes and then watching sunrises...he hadn't even remembered falling asleep.
He found himself looking over at Charlotte, smiling slightly at her sleeping form. He knew that with her, he'd be alright. Even if he'd had the most horrible flashes, as long as she was there, he'd come back. He'd always come back for her.
However, the loud sound of what sounded like reporters now made Daniel frown and look towards the door in wonder. He wanted to go out and tell them that Charlotte was sleeping, people were sleeping and it was rude to wake them, however, he moved, turning ont he television. He had thought he had heard 'channel five' being said in the hallway.
The sight on the television made him frown. "Oh no." he whispered. "Oh...oh no, this is--this is not good. This is most certainly not good."

Charlotte faintly heard the voices speaking in the background, a frown tugging at her lips as she attempted to absorb herself back into her sleep. She shifted slightly, then after a moment, realized she wasn't laying in the soft comfort of her bed.
Her eyes flickered open, and for a moment, she was confused as to where she was. She blinked several times, yawning, and looked around, finally able to remember that she had fallen asleep a few hours after Dan had. She unfolded her legs from out from under her, wincing slightly as they felt stiff. She moved to run her fingers through her hair, and realized she was still wearing Dan's shirt.
She looked over at Dan when she heard him speak, flashing him a smile until she saw the look on his face. Then the frown pulled at her lips again as she yawned, looking over at the television, stopping mid-stretch when she realized that what they were showing happened to be right down the hall -- they had passed it on the way to Daniel's room yesterday.
"Did we miss something important?" She questioned softly, standing.

Dan couldn't take his eyes off the screen.
They were dead. The little baby, Ford...they were dead. His mouth hung open slightly, as they flashed the words BREAKING NEWS over and over again, along with the picture of Ford and the baby. Charlotte's voice broke his shocked silence, and he looked over at Charlotte, shocked. "We--we missed something...most defanatly important."
It didn't occur to him that it could change like this. However, people died all the time; it was the way of the world, but...but in his flasehes, Sawyer had been there...Aaron...
"This...this is...this is most certainly not good at all. They're--they're dead."

Charlotte's gaze flickered back up to the screen. She hadn't liked Ford, but that didn't mean that she wanted him dead -- and the little baby....
"Does it say how they died?" She murmured, more to herself than to Daniel as she read the words scrolling across the bottom of the screen. She was afraid -- what the hell was going on? A man and a baby both rescued from the Island turn up dead in a hotel room? Things just weren't adding up for her, and Charlotte doubted it was some sort of random murder.
Sitting on the arm of the couch, she stifled another yawn. "Yeah - I'd have to agree. It's pretty bad." She muttered, looking over at Dan.
"But I don't think it's a coincidence."
