People were already flocking to the bar by the time she had arrived there, her shift at the airport giving her a golden hour to get cleaned up before she was due at her second job. Not that Ana-Lucia minded, she actually liked the bar more then wanding people for eight hours straight, making her want to rip every shred of hair from her scalp. Grant it, some people were actually pleasant, but more then often they were task worthy, annoying, and particularly asinine.
At least at the bar people were less stiff, the amazing attributes to alcohol that made people loosen up, and even become even bigger morons. That in all actuality, was more entertaining then shifting through people's bags, and waving a stick around. The bland excitement at the airport was more then yawn-worthy, making her appreciate the smell of cigarette smoke and liquors that wafted through the air that much more as she weaved her way through the crowd, as well as the music that was blaring over everyone.
"A-L, gonna need ya when you get settled," she heard one of the walking waiters, Tyler, call out towards her.
"Hello to you, too, Tye," the Latina remarked somewhat in jest as she took off her coat and slung it over the coat rack. She wasn't inside the place two seconds when an order was being ran off. Not that she minded. Business was good, especially tonight where it looked already packed and it wasn't even past seven yet. Turning her attention then to the counter she was already crouching down in front of it before she tossed up one of the round platters filling it with eight vodka shots, two white Russians, a Cosmo, and a Malibu sunrise.
Interesting choices, she mused, arching a slender eyebrow as she handed it off to him, going about business as usual at her counter, her domain. Moving along, she started taking orders for everyone that was waiting her attendance at the stools. "What can I get'cha?" she asked eying up one of the customers, hands poised on the counter ready to grab a glass or a shot glass. Silently, she tried to guess what they'd, she had become moderately good at reading people, guessing their poison of choice before they said it in the short time she'd worked there.

Street after street, block after block, Boone had wondered when he would stop. He wasn't the one to walk this much, or rarely at all for that matter, and if you had to have stumbled into him on this evening he would've probably acted slightly shy, telling you that he was sorry, and that the collision was his fault. He was feeling slightly worn out, after a long day, and a long meeting with a client at his mother's company just before he got out. He wasn't just going anywhere today, he was heading down to the bar. Sure, he wasn't one to drink a lot, but that didn't mean he didn't like to relax.
The Stone Pony's storefront came into view, and he couldn't help but feel nervous. He tried to remember the last time he had came here, but nothing clicked in his mind. had he ever been here before? He sighed, not knowing. Stepping through the doors, into the smoke smelling room was a slight shock, but it was a great change to the smog and gasoline that most L.A. residents got used to, but Boone never did. The dim lights of the bar seemed inviting, and he took the steps to the stools, and sat down quickly. Placing his left hand on his forehead, and his elbow on the bar, he took a deep breath, trying to clear his mind.
Life wasn't something he was trying to cope with right now, and having a stressful job and wasn't really helping. After Sydney, with Shannon, he couldn't feel...right anymore. There was something digging into him, something unsettled, and tearing at his insides. He couldn't put a finger on it at the moment, but he knew if he didn't deal with it soon, it was never going to go away. He took his hand off his face, and found a beautiful woman standing before him. "What can I get'cha?" Boone smiled weakly, and then began to stutter. "Uhh... well, I guess..." It was all he could manage to stutter out after being ripped from his own personal thoughts. He didn't know anything about drinks, or about drinking at all for that matter. "Well, what do you recommend? I don't drink that often..." He figured he might as well be honest with her, even though he knew he was wasting her time.

Like many people that went into a bar, there was something obviously weighting heavily on the man's mind. Especially if they really never drank before, most of them found themselves at a bar and drank their little hearts out. It never ended badly, because well, even she knew first hand that alcohol wasn't best problem went it come to real life shit. It only blurred it for a moment before life hit you in the ass again. But that didn't mean the alcohol couldn't help it in some form.
In debate at the moment on what to get the man, she nodded, getting a strike of thought. "Easy enough," she commented as she turned, grabbing one of the bottles of rum off the display. Coming to face him again, she grabbed the fountain, filling up one of the empty glasses with coke before she finally but a decent amount of rum inside of it as well. "This should go down smoothly," she told the man as she placed it down in front of him.
"So, what's got in you in a bind? Girl troubles?... Man troubles?" she asked, quirking a brow, a slight smirk quirking the corner of her mouth on the last word. Not that the latter really struck her, but she thought she might as well ask. People that came into bars were like criminals, most liked to talk, ramble words off like the drinks that went down into their stomachs, this guy wasn't probably all that different, especially because he was alone, unless he was meeting someone there.

"Look, Roger, trust me on this one, alright? We let him sit in a cell overnight, let him stew, and he's bound to crack. Trust me. Plus, I have been up for more hours than I care to think about, and I need sleep. Oh--Oh wait, Roger, you're--you're going through a tunnel! Wait--Rog--To--marr--"
Kevin Callis frowned slightly and rolled his eyes after a pathetic attempt to make it sound like he was breaking up, complete with fake static noises that, as he entered the Stone Pony, made people turn and look at him. It wasn't the simple fact that the man on the other end was arguing with him, but more the fact that he was debating on doing something that Kevin had already made his mind up on. It was as simple as that. They had a known drug-runner in custody after charging him with a double-murder rap, and Kevin was so close to catching his supplier, he could taste it in his mouth. "Look, ass. He's lookin' at twenty to life already, but if we could cut a deal with him, he could be more open. Let's ust make him feel like he's got the ball in his court, alright? Trust me. It works in Tampa, it works in Los Angeles. Just do it, alright? Don't make me pull rank. That's right. 'Kay, talk to you tomarrow. Yep. Bye."
Kevin sighed out hard as he clicked the phone shut, pocketing his cellphone. "Jesus Christ doesn't anyone know how to do their fucking job?" he said, more to himself before he smiled, seeing Ana. He slid into a seat, watching as a beer was place in front of him. He smiled and took a long gulp, before resting his chin against his hand as he watched Ana. "Ana, Darlin'...I want you to tell me somethin'. Why is it that you havn't found yourself someone? I mean, I didn't even have to SPEAK, and yet, here I am, satisfied. That's a quality that, if you're not careful, I may want to call something I love and care about." he told her with a smile.

Jesus Christ doesn't anyone know how to do their fucking job?
There was no mistaken the voice as she heard it just barely over the sound of chattering and music. Catching the sound, Ana looked up from the man she was serving, towards the ever familiar face that appeared in the crowd of people that surrounded the bar. There was no surprise in her features, she figured he'd be here at some point after work as well, and he usually made it a point to come there at a very minimal three times a week, when he wasn't on duty that was.
Already knowing the poison of choice before he even made it to the bar, she reached under the counter to where the beer bottles were stored. Popping the top off the bottle easily, she then slid it right in front of the off-duty cop, no words exchanged, just a smirk on her lips as she acknowledged his presence, though quickly getting to work on another order that was shouted at her from one of the customers, she began snatching shot glasses and throwing them in a line as she listen to him.
Ana, Darlin'...I want you to tell me somethin'. Why is it that you havn't found yourself someone? I mean, I didn't even have to SPEAK, and yet, here I am, satisfied. That's a quality that, if you're not careful, I may want to call something I love and care about
Her snort hitched on the 'Darlin' as she grabbed a bottle of tequila, tilting the nozzle so the drink poured out at an even pace, all she had to do was move it down in a straight line to fill them at all in one long, swift movement. "Or maybe," she bit out, concentrating on the task of filling off a platter before taking the cash from the guy and handing it off.
"Maybe it might be the fact you order the same damn thing every time?" she suggested, looking over her shoulder a moment as she turned and hit one of the buttons on the cash register, taking the tip and shoving it in her pocket before the rest was put away into the tray. "There's only so many times before a gal will catch on, Callis."

"See, you pay attention, too. All qualities that I admire and respect." Kevin said, tilting the bottle towards her with a smile before taking a gulp of the liquid. "You know, I fear I should warn you and possibily apologise; depending on how drunk I get tonight, I may ask you to marry me. But I want you to know in advance that it's not the alcohol that made me attracted to you, because you're pretty enough before the beer. It's your simple and utter fact of remembering my drink choices."
Kevin remembered a time that he had told Monica the same thing. However, unlike Monica, Kevin had no intention of taking Ana home with him. The thought of Monica filtered into his brain, and he looked down at his hand, noticing that his ring finger remained blank. "Hey, uh," he started, and looked at Ana. "Why don't you pour me one of those?" he asked of the shot, trying to smile, but it only came out half.
