Miles sat in the lobby of the Roosevelt. He was spending an awful amount of time in that lobby lately; yesterday, with Penelope Widmore and her Scotsman lover and now here, waiting for Leandra who had contacted him. He guessed he left something in her room and she didn't want him to come up. Probably whatever they had was over, and Miles was over it. He had too much to do than to sleep with the woman again, no matter how good it got. He had several missions. One was to get Ben to get him back to the island... something he discovered could only work if all of them came back... and secondly working out what was going on with Cortez.
The second one wasn't the highest of priorities and he barely know why the hell he was even doing it since there was no pay involved. What was in it for him? A woman that could kick his ass at a moments notice, an ex-cop, a co-owner of a bar and someone who had a problem with authority, as well as everything else in the world? Yeah, it was safe to say he had a bit of a thing for Cortez junior. Something which wouldn't get in the way if Leandra was going to throw herself at him again... but for some reason he was assuming that wasn't going to happen.
He kept glancing to the elevators for her to come down, hoping that she wasn't going to make a scene again like she did in the bar, slapping him and getting Charlotte to slap him too. That was uncalled for. He tapped his fingers on the side of the chair and looked around to see if there was anyone he recognized... anyone from 815 he would have to find some way of getting back to the island. That was no easy task.

Leandra had phoned Miles, she wasn't sure why she wanted to speak to him in particular, Jack would have been a better option, but somehow she thought that Jack would think she was crazy and given the fact that Miles was into ghosts and the paranormal, she thought he would be the best person to speak to, even if she was still a bit pissed at him for the way he had treated her before.
He said he would come by and wait in the lobby for her, assuming he didn't want to come to her room in case things happened between them again. It was pretty obvious she'd burned her bridges with him, and it was annoying her, because she seriously needed to get over the one sided lust, crush she had for Sawyer, he'd never want her, she wouldn't be his kind, and Miles had seemed the perfect person to do that with, now she wasn't so sure.
Now she felt she needed someone to help her get over Miles, what a mess. Looking in the mirror, and fixing up her hair, she took herself off down to the lobby and immediately saw him sitting there. Her heart already started beating faster and her head was starting to ache. She had no idea why he had the affect on her, but it was driving her mad.
"Hello Miles" she said simply with a smile as she took a seat beside him, "Thanks for coming over, there's something I need to talk about, and I didn't know who else to approach" she continued.

Miles shrugged half-heartedly. "I guess I owe you" he said stoicly. Not really believing that he did owe her, but feeling like it was something to say none the less. "So I didn't leave anything in your room or something? Cause I was out of it this morning." He rubbed his eyes. He was pretty out of it now. And he needed to get her to the island and just didn't know how to play it. Maybe faking interest would get her on board... but that was a low strategy. Not something that was below him... but still low. "So no name what is it?" he asked, not really caring anymore if he called her by his pet name for her. What did he care if he offended her?

So he hadn't changed then she thought, but then why would he change in a matter of hours. She sighed at the reception she got from him, but then she was coming to expect nothing more, however she was getting fed up with him treating her like that.
"No you didn't leave anything" she snapped, "I just thought you may have been interested in what happened to me earlier today, something which usually interests you anyway" she continued in annoying tones.
She stood up to walk away, thinking he wasn't worth the bother when he called her no name. It was annoying the hell out of her, he knew her bloody name, so why didn't he just damn well use it. She turned back and pushed her hand onto his chest, quite hard, "Stop calling me bloody no name, you know it's Leandra" she turned away from him again, "but if you're not interested in the paranormal anymore, then fine" she shouted as she made to walk away from him back up to her room.

"Hey, hey, hey" he stood up and grabbed her wrist as she tried to walk away. She wasn't getting away that easily. "What was that about the paranormal?" He was wondering two things: A. if she knew how much pushing him around was turning him on again... probably a good thing he didn't go up to her room... and B. whether this had anything to do with Cortez junior who he still couldn't get out of his head for the last few hours.
"Leandra. Fine. I was only having some fun" he scowled but kept his grasp on her wrist. "So tell me about your day because really, I'm dying to know..."

Hah! She thought, she knew that would get his attention, but she was irked at the way he had grabbed at her wrist, and continued to hold it. She snapped away from his grasp and gave him a steely look.
"Fun? That's what you call it?" she shouted, "Well I don't find it fun being called no name, alright?" she continued in her angry tones. He really was getting to her and in more ways than he probably could even imagine.
"If you want to know about my day" she started still in angry but hushed tones, "then you can come up to my room, because I am not telling you down here" she finished as she started to walk away from him again.

Miles rolled his eyes and followed her. She was in quite the mood this afternoon. "I didn't say it was fun for you..." he told her with a smirk. She really shouldn't take it so personally. Cortez called him Casper and it's not as if he liked that original nickname either.
They went up to her room and he looked at her expectantly. He wondered if she knew what she was getting herself into. She knew what happened the last two times he was in her room... what was saying that this time was going to be any different?

"No you didn't say it was fun for me, I'm just telling you it isn't" she replied still annoyed, especially when she saw the smirk on his face, and why the hell did she still feel attracted to him for anyway. It wasn't right. There was something far wrong here, whether with the situation or with her, she couldn't quite fathom out yet.
She turned round to see if he was following her and he was, she smiled to herself, knowing full well what could happen now that she had control of him in her own room again. Once in the room, she locked the door and pushed him down onto the bed before straddling him, "How much do you want to know about my day?" she asked him in demanding tones before kissing him full on the mouth hard and with hunger.

"Woa!" Miles said recoiling when she jumped on him. "I thought we were done this song and dance" He put his hands up in protest until he thought, screw it and kissed her back.
"Yeah, I wanna hear about your day" he told her. "If it was half as screwy as mine was, I'd be surprised." He kissed her again just as hard as before, a little confused that she was on him again. "So what does this make us?" He asked when he broke away, eyebrows raised.

Once she was satisfied he was quite happy to take her again after he kissed her back just as hard as she had kissed him, she pulled up off of him and sat on the chair. If he was willing to go down the sex route with her again, then he must have wanted to know about her paranormal activity desperately.
Sitting on the chair by the bed, she put her head into her hands, and rubbed at her temples slightly, she was still feeling shady from the amount of alcohol she had consumed earlier with Boone, yeah the much alive dead Boone, and she was still reeling from the shock of seeing the much alive dead Charlie as well.
"I saw two people today whom I believed to be dead" she started slowly, he was going to think she had lost it.

Miles smirked. "Thought to be dead, or should be dead?" Miles asked getting comfortable again as she got off of him. He leaned back against the headboard of the bed, kicking off his shoes and putting his arms behind his head. "Because if it's the latter I'd ask you to join the club" he told her.

She hadn't even answered his question about what did it make them she realised, her head was throbbing. "Oh and I'm not sure what it makes us, hate to love each other lovers?" she questioned in stupidity. It was a silly line, but she couldn't think of what else to sum up what it was they had, if they had anything at all.
So what was it? Thought or should? Well she thought they were dead, but they should be dead. They died on the Island. She knew they died on the Island.
"They should be dead" she said sighing slightly, "Miles I swear I saw ghosts today, but they were so real, they were so alive, and they were talking to me, but they didn't even know who I was, even though I know them from the Island" she rambled slightly, not even sure if she was making sense or if he had even heard her as she still played with her hair with her hands.

Miles cringed at the word 'love'. That wasn't what he would have called it at all. He would have gone with... people that barely tolerate each other but whatever... "Really?" He asked her... his eyebrows raising. Perhaps this did have something to do with Cortez junior anyway. "Did they feel... cold... you know, colder than usual?"

She saw the cringe look on his face at what she called them, so maybe love wasn't the right word, but she knew what she meant even if he didn't. She could just about like him, just about, that was it really.
"Yes really" she said and sighed again, her head really was throbbing, it was like she had banged it against the wall a hundred times over.
"Hell no, they weren't cold, that's what is so freaky about it, they were very much alive and warm, just like a real person, like you and me" she said in annoying tones, "Well maybe not like you, you're not exactly warm are you?" she taunted him slightly, she couldn't help it, he treated her like prize shit, and she was fed up with it.

Miles rolled his eyes at her when she said he wasn't exactly warm... and then saying they were... what was the stupid phrase? Oh yeah... hate to love each other lovers? He almost wanted to gag. He figured it was time to set her straight. He brought his hand forward to rub the bridge of his nose, trying to figure out what to say.
"Look... Leandra. You're not really my type OK?" He started, taking a deep breath, expecting her to grab him and thrust him out at any second. "I mean, sure you're hot and you're like every guy's type... but I mean whatever we're doing, it's not a relationship." He took a deep breath. He knew the probable womanly wrath that he was invoking. But what was he suppose to do... settle for the first chick that actually dug him? Miles wasn't that type of guy and no persuading from her was going to make him that type of guy.
"You can waste your time with me all you like, I'm not stopping you... but don't be surprised if one of these days I'm not available to you anymore." He wanted to kick himself, probably should have waited until after she slept with him to get this information out. But how was he supposed to do something like this? At least he could blame Cortez. Whatever that ice-bitch was doing to him, was just not right. He almost felt that he could sympathize with the poor sap of hers that died. Seems it wasn't an entirely new situation.
He figured he'd get unto the ghosts, before she threw him out. "So what happened? Did you see them die? Or was it all some delusion or something you might have had?" He asked pointedly. "How do you know they're supposed to be dead?"
He put a hand to his head for a moment, really trying to work this all out, but not knowing what else to say. The last thing he wanted was to jeapordize the free sex... but he didn't want her to think there was actually a possibility of a future. Nope. Not with her. She wasn't his type.
