She sighed gently and then gave a small laugh, "Yeah I know you didn't" she replied about him not asking her to scream at him. "You just have a knack of making me do that though" she continued with a weak small. He was lucky she hadn't taken her hand to his face like she'd done previously. But she was beginning to get used to him now.
"Yeah its a nice thought to move in with him" she said softly with a warm smile thinking of her father, and not that she wanted to show him any sympathy because he'd likely not appreciate it anyway, but she touched his arm with her hand in an understanding gesture.
"Oh, so you do care?" she said idly, she couldn't help it, she was so used to him being sarcastic to her, that even an inkling of care coming out was a surprise to her. "I'd rather not pass out again" she continued sticking her tongue out at him in a playful manner.

"Of course I care, it's boring without having someone to talk to." Miles didn't care about making himself comfortable here when it wasn't his room. He'd always been doing that, but growing up without a home gave someone the skills to be adaptable. "Plus, if you aren't hearing voices before you take those things, you will be afterwards" he mentioned nonchalantly.
When she said that he had a knack for... well... pissing people off in general he smiled and thought about this. It was true, but it's not like he wanted to change it. "There's really no point living your life if you're worried about pleasing everyone" he told her, "really, it's a waste of good air that somebody else could be breathing if you're going to live like that."

"Oh, so I am good to talk to?" she questioned him with mock shock on her face, "because quite often you've told me to shut up" she continued. People who tell you to shut up, don't normally class you as someone they want to talk to. "Well I've been taking painkillers for migraine headaches for quite a few years, and I can honestly say I've never heard any voices after taking them" she said smugly. The painkillers were prescribed ones particularly for migraine type headaches.
"Well maybe thats how you feel about life, but it's not how others see it, and it's not how I see it. I'd be mortified if I thought I was consciously pissing people off" she began, "however, that said, I'd never try and make someone change how they are" she couldn't believe she was actually having an adult conversation with Miles, and it was freaky.

"Quite often I've told everyone to shut up" he told her, still focused on the TV. "You've been getting migraine's for a few years?" He perked up at this bit of information, "there's usually some very supernatural explanations for headaches of that caliber, you just may not be in tune to everything yet."
Miles rolled his eyes every so slightly as she said that she wouldn't try to change anyone. "Honestly Leandra, don't you have a backbone? Some people need to be changed for their own good. Like Faraday for instance. If nobody helped him, he'd probably be dead by now." He stratched his arm but still only looked at her for a second. "The way I see it, it's someones choice the way they want to respond. I'm not forcing them to be pissed off by me. So, yeah... who needs to be mortified?"

"I can believe that" she said referring to him saying he's told everyone to shut up. She wasn't lying either, he had that kind of personality. It wasn't a great personality, in all he was a bit of a jerk, but maybe he was alright as a friend.
She rolled her eyes when he perked up at her having migraines for a few years. Not once had her doctor told her it could have supernatural tendencies. "I wouldn't get worked up, I'm pretty sure the doctor would have told me if there was something untoward going on" she began, "when I say years, I mean like almost two, so not that long, and it's probably about one a week, maybe once a fortnight" she continued. Nothing too serious she thought.
She sighed again, there was nothing wrong with Daniel she thought, the poor guy. Miles seemed to think it was good to change people, so how would Miles take it if she tried to change him she thought. She couldn't imagine it to go down very well.
"I'd like to see you coping with me trying to change you" she challenged him. Miles would never change anyway, no matter how hard she tried to change him, not that she'd even try. Miles now, was the same Miles on the Island. Leopards never change their spots, Miles was and would be no exception to that rule.

"Yeah because doctors" he drew out the word 'doctors' "usually have all the answers when it comes to supernatural phenomenon" he finished sarcastically. She could go to her doctor for all the advice she wanted and she still wouldn't find out a damned thing.
"Wouldn't be able too" Miles commented dryly to her changing him. "But by all means, give it a shot" He glanced at her with a glint in his eye. "So what are you going to do? Get me to wear flannel or something?" He joked. "You know sometimes I even think myself about changing... but then I think, what would be the point?" He crossed a leg over the other one and switched the channel. "They actually have fly fishing on three different stations" he commented, amused.

"Well I don't really care what you think about 'doctors'" she said using her fingers are quotation marks as she said the word doctors. "I've not had any supernatural happenings" she finished defiantly.
"Didn't think so" she began slowly and a little sarcastically, "what's more I wouldn't want to, I wouldn't know where to begin" she continued about trying to change him. Then watched as he remained comfortable on her bed watching her cable, flicking from channel to channel.
"Watch as much of it as you like" she said, "not like I'm paying for it" she continued with a grin. She got up from the bed and poured herself a fresh orange juice. "Are you going to stay here all night?" she asked him curiously since he seemed to be making himself comfortable. Taking her drink and sitting back down on the bed.

"I don't know..." Miles replied with a smirk. "You get room service in this joint?" He asked her, flipping channels again. "I think I've got to go meet with Cortez Junior later, tell her about her boyfriend from beyond the grave."
Miles rolled his eyes when she said she hadn't had any supernatural happenings, "you see that's the thing, there's always supernatural happenings going on. Most people just don't realize it."
But when she said she wouldn't want to change him and he comprehended it, it caused him to shut off the TV and turn to her. "You wouldn't want to change me?" He questioned, somewhat accusingly.

"Course I get room service" Leah replied a little surprised he even had to ask that question, but relieved when she heard him say he had to go and meet Cortez later. "Well don't let me stop you from going then" she continued smugly.
She couldn't care less whether he stayed or left.
"Well if I suddenly start talking to ghosts, I'll be sure to let you know" Leah retorted, although what the hell had she been doing earlier that day? She had to shake her head, they weren't ghosts damnit, they were breathing, they were hot, they were most definitely not ghosts.
"That's right, I wouldn't want to, what's wrong with that?" she asked him in annoying tones. Why would he even expect her to try, after all he said it himself, she'd never change him. "I don't think I'd have enough energy to try and change you" she continued, if he was going to get nasty with her again, he could leave.
She had had enough of being mistreated, and she wouldn't allow Miles to get away with it anymore. Enough was enough.

"If you suddenly start talking to ghosts" Miles began flicking his fingers on the inside of his palm, "I'll know because there's not too many secrets like that around the spirit world."
He still didn't turn on the TV. "So you don't want to change me or you can't be bothered changing me?" He asked in interest, "because they really are two different things."

"Well am glad to know if I were to start talking to ghosts you'd know about it, even if I didn't tell you" she said a little amused at the way their conversation was going tonight. It actually seemed weird to be physically talking to Miles properly, it actually made a pleasant change.
She sighed when he asked her that question about changing him. Could she be honest? What if she were honest? Would he just walk out and leave her and never come back? Would he like her more if she were to admit she'd want to change him?
"Okay, I'll be honest, I'd love to try and change you, but I know it wouldn't work, so I don't know if I can be bothered to try" she said, being honest and not sure where it would take them from here.
She was still pretty set on not sleeping with him here and now, but maybe, just maybe if he started treating her like a human or being nice to her, maybe they could have a proper relationship, but she doubted it would ever happen.

"There we go" Miles said with mock enthusiasm, "a little honesty. Was it really that hard?" He smirked a little, "Anyway, I think when someone has lived through life seeing as much as I have, it's really hard to undo. But hey, they say nothing is impossible" He added with his smirk growing wider as he flicked the TV back on.
"So fly fishing, some old cartoons, police dramas? What should I pick?" He asked, flicking through quickly. He didn't really care so much what he watched as long as he was watching something.

Leah smiled weakly, he was right, it wasn't so hard to be that honest with him about it all. If she could change him, she would, but she didn't see it being an easy process, but as he said, they do say nothing is impossible.
"Well if nothing is impossible, maybe I might be tempted to give it a try, just gentle pushes in the right direction" she said semi teasing him with a wide smile on her face.
She caught at the side of her eye how he went back to the television again. So the serious conversation with no television was over in a matter of minutes, because she told the truth. She grinned to herself.
"Some old cartoons, they're good for a laugh, maybe the old Roadrunner will come on" she said laughing slightly, she liked Roadrunner, and if nothing else, it would make for a calmer atmosphere around them.

"OK, sure" Miles said with half-interest, still keeping his eyes on the TV but willing to play along for the sake of it, "push in the right direction, whatever." Miles didn't think she or anyone else could actually change him, but it was always amusing to see someone try.
"With three hundred channels, I think I might be able to find it." He started flicking through the cartoon channels until he hit Roadrunner and stopped. "There" he said with a smile. "A cheap laugh it is."

"When I said push you in the right direction I was sort of meaning how you are with me, not everybody else" Leah replied, keeping her tone light.
Ha! He'd found it, Roadrunner her favourite cartoon ever. Her headache had finally stopped aching so much, but she was feeling a little nauseous, however she put it to the back of her mind and watched the cartoon instead.
"Cool Roadrunner" she said with a bit of a laugh while she decided to lie back on her bed opposite Miles. May as well make herself comfortable she thought.
